In 2017 there is a lot of developments coming up with memory cards and media for photo storage. Sony is just one company who continues to go for a larger part of the market place. Recently they have launched a new series of UHS-II speed SD cards. With
a sensational writing speed of 299 MB/ second. Sony has disclosed its new SF-G series of SD cards is the fastest in the current array of cards available at this point in time. They quote the maximum read speed is 300 MB/second when used in their own Sony MRW-S1 card reader.
Currently the latest SF-G cards are available with storage capacities of 32 GB (SDHC), 64 GB (SDXC) and 128 GB (SDXC). The faster data transfer rates enable shorter buffer times, making these card ideal for 4K video capture. The cards are also able to support the high-speed continuous shooting capabilities of the latest D-SLRs and mirrorless cameras.
Sony’s incredible SF-G cards also contain a robust design claiming waterproof and anti-static capabilities, they are supported by Sony’s downloadable File Rescue software for the recovery of files that may have been accidentally damaged and deleted and this download is free. No doubt the pricing will be competitive although we all know you only get what you pay for so watch out for the lower cost clones.
